“GE Model#JVM1450DP1WW Serial VT914177B has died. Made Nov. 2010. Over the top of the microwave is the vent with slats across it. This works fine. I need to replace the microwave which has the vent control option. Please help!! I can't find the manual”

Hi Debbie - All 30" over-the-range microwaves are approximately the same width, and are designed to fit into a 30" wide cabinet opening. Therefore, any of our 30" over-the-range models will work as a replacement for an existing 30" over-the-range model. Also, all models are designed for adaptation to the following three types of ventilation: A. Outside Top Exhaust (Vertical Duct). B. Outside Back Exhaust (Horizontal Duct). C. Recirculating (Non-Vented Ductless). Select the type of ventilation required for your installation. We suggest comparable models with sensor cooking controls: GE® 1.7 Cu. Ft. Over-the-Range Sensor Microwave Oven JVM6175DKWW; GE® 1.9 Cu. Ft. Over-the-Range Sensor Microwave Oven JVM7195DKWW.
