Q: Questionthe model I'm replacing is JVM71955FISS, serial # HF209610B. I have a propane stove/oven combo underneath it. It is vented up through the upper cabinet. Am I correct that the most accurate replacement model is the JVM7195SKSS?

Q: QuestionI currently have model Model PNM9216SKSS - but it is not currently installed to vent outside through the oven back. Is this one a good replacement or should we re-install Model PNM9216SKSS with an exterior vent?

All 30" over-the-range microwaves are approximately the same width and are designed to fit into a 30" wide cabinet opening. Therefore, any of our 30" over-the-range models will work as a replacement for an existing 30" over-the-range model. We just suggest using the mounting bracket of your new microwave. We are glad to advise that all of our 30” over-the-range microwaves have approximately the same width; as a result, any model of this type can replace a former model. JVM7195SKSS is one of our many 30" over-the-range microwaves that would work as a replacement. You would need to make sure to use the mounting bracket that comes with the new model, as they are model specific. JX36DSS has dimensions of 16"H x 3"W x 14-1/8"D while JX36BSS measures 15.66"H x 3” W x 13.82” D. JX36BSS is the filler kit that would be compatible with this model. In addition, the charcoal filter should be replaced when it is noticeably dirty or discolored. Lastly, the fan is designed to help protect the electronic components and help the cooking area get rid of excess heat, but it's not specifically manufactured to purify cooking odors. • A:Answer My GE Profile Microwave is Model number JVM7195SK6SS and the light turns on when I open the door. I searched for your model number and couldn't find an exact match. However, when you open the microwave door and look at the same sticker where your model# was located you should see a QR code. Your mobile phone's photo app should recognize the QR code and offer to take you directly to your microwave's page on GE's website. See if they have a video or perhaps the manual addresses the light. I too would expect any microwave with a light to turn on when you open the door.
