Q: QuestionNeed to replace a GE JVM 3670SK06 over range microwave vented outside with a filler kit to cover the 36" opening - not sure kit would work for a newer model. May need replacement all with installation. Pls suggest a good replacement for all and $ cost.

As you have discovered our current models fit in a 30" wide opening. You will also need the JX36BSS filler kit to fill in the additional 3" opening on each side of the microwave. Q: QuestionI have this microwave which is vented for outside but some reason the air comes out from top too is this normal?plus now and then i do see grease on the top and i did check outside the house the air is venting out tooo so why is this throwing air inside

• A:Answer All I can say is that it is NOT normal for me. Ours is vented from the outside and as far as I can tell, little or no air is coming out from the vent.

• A:Answer Almost all over the range microwave have similar dimensions. The difference s are often in the wall mounting bracket’s. You will likely have to remount the new dedicated bracket that comes with your new unit as the old may not fit.

Model JVM7195SKSS would be the closest replacement, but all 30" over-the-range microwaves are approximately the same width, and are designed to fit into a 30" wide cabinet opening. Therefore, any of our 30" over-the-range models will work as a replacement for an existing 30" over-the-range model. There isn't a direct replacement but the following models would be comparable. Model PVM9005SJSS has a different style control panel but it would be a nice replacement. • A:Answer Hello. Thanks for reaching out! All 30" over-the-range microwaves are approximately the same width, and are designed to fit into a 30" wide cabinet opening. Therefore, any of our 30" over-the-range models will work as a replacement for an existing 30" over-the-range model. Just note that, when replacing an over-the-range microwave, the mounting bracket included with the new microwave should be used since the mounting bracket is specific to each model. The new screws, bolts, and exhaust adapter should also be used. Model JVM6175EKES would make a great replacement. • A:Answer Hi! Wonderful question. All microwaves have a window in the door that has a mesh screen inside of it. This screen helps keep the microwaves inside the cavity, and is a necessary part of the microwave. You may find that the screen makes it difficult to see your food as it is cooking. Although it is difficult to see detail, the window should allow you to see if there are any problems while cooking, like arcing, burning, boil-overs, etc. If you need to check on your food, opening the door will pause the microwave.
