“This refrigerator would be used intermittently in a small cabin. How long does it take to reach its proper temperature when it is restarted? Also, is it okay to turn on/off after just a few days use, a few times a month? Thank you.”

Hi Kate- We are excited to hear of your interest in our GE Brand! When a refrigerator is first installed, allow 24 hours for it to stabilize to normal operating temperatures. Some cooling should be obvious in the freezer within approximately one hour. It will not harm the refrigerator to turn it off when not in use. It reaches temp fairly fast. No issue turning it on and off. Works well. It is small.
