- Answer The beeper sound level can be adjusted. Press Beeper Volume. Choose 0–3 for mute to loud. You can find instructions in the manual on the website, page 21.

QuestionDoes the door open with the apparent button on the lower right? How hard is it to push? We have to yank the door open on our current unit (different mfr). You end up needing both hands to open it, or else risk yanking the whole oven off the counter.

QuestionCan this microwave be set on a countertop?

- Answer Yes, this microwave is designed to be placed on your counter top. We do recommend a minimum of 3" of air clearance on each side and at the top as well as 1" minimum clearance in the back. We also recommend the microwave be placed a minimum of 3" from the front edge of your counter top to prevent accidental tipping during normal usage. -Vikki@GEAppliances

QuestionWhat is the length of the power cord?

- Answer The cord is 3 feet long. But it connects to the top back corner of the microwave (1 foot above counter level). So if your outlet is at counter level some of the length will be needed to reach it.

- Answer We appreciate your loyalty to our brand! While JE2160SF can be built-in, GCST20S1WSS is designed to sit on the countertop and cannot be built-in. We do have various other models that can be built-in with an optional kit, including PEM31SFSS.
