A:AnswerYou will need to measure your existing opening and find a microwave that will fit.
All stainless models have fitment issues because the stainless trim is added to the machine making a bigger trim opening necessary.
GE will not sell trim kits for countertop machines - which is what this one is.
A:AnswerNo. GE says this is a countertop only model and will not sell a trim kit for it.
You can custom make a kit but you will need to know a shop that does that kind of work.

A:AnswerAssume your question is rhetorical. However, I would suggest that you call GE and see if they would be willing to extend your coverage those couple of weeks. I did this with a GE dishwasher that was a month out of warranty several years ago and they did take care of it. What helped me was that I had registered the dishwasher and the 5 other GE appliances we bought at the same time and could honestly say that I was a loyal GE customer. As for this microwave, we just bought this model to replace a nearly identical (i.e. the same except for the look of the door and control panel) that broke after 14 years. No doubt that things are being made cheaper, but this technology is so mature that one breaking after a year would not be typical at all. Good luck!
