Q: QuestionHello, I have a modelJE2160SF03, that has died, and no longer available. What current stainless model will fit in the same space, with my current trim kit? Or, is there a trim kit available for this unit? Thanks

Q: QuestionI have a GE profile space saver model JEM31SF001 that I must replace in a space that is 23 inches with 14 inches depth and 10 1/2 inches height. I have been informed that my model is no longer made. The GE model PM31SF4SS is too big in width. What model ?

Q: QuestionHow is it that the Microwave stopped working 1 year and 2 weeks after purchase when they have a 1 year warranty?

• A:Answer Assume your question is rhetorical. However, I would suggest that you call GE and see if they would be willing to extend your coverage those couple of weeks. I did this with a GE dishwasher that was a month out of warranty several years ago and they did take care of it. What helped me was that I had registered the dishwasher and the 5 other GE appliances we bought at the same time and could honestly say that I was a loyal GE customer. As for this microwave, we just bought this model to replace a nearly identical (i.e. the same except for the look of the door and control panel) that broke after 14 years. No doubt that things are being made cheaper, but this technology is so mature that one breaking after a year would not be typical at all. Good luck!

• A:Answer Yes, but you will have to have a vented trim panel, top and bottom. And this will need to be custom made.

• A:Answer Hi - We are happy to help. This model offers Auto and Timed Defrost. -- Auto Defrost automatically sets time and power levels for even defrosting of meats, poultry and fish up to 6 lbs. To use: press Auto/Time Defrost one time, enter the weight of the food item and press Start. -- You can also defrost by time. Press the Auto/Time Defrost pad twice, enter your time and press Start. The power level is automatically set at 3 for Time Defrost. For additional information please take a look at the owner's manual which is available to download online. All our best! Vikki@GEA

Q: QuestionI have PEB7226sf2ss which seems to be on its last breath, this is stainless steel color, this model is the end of life, what can I replace it so it fits in the same place, and uses same Trim Kit

• A:Answer We are sorry to hear that your microwave has reached the end of life. When replacing the microwave then the trim kit will also need to be replaced as any new microwave is not compatible with the old trim kit. The good thing is that the new microwave and new trim kit will fit in the same opening of your cabinet. The new model microwave is PEB7227ANDD and then either Trim Kit Required - JX7227SLSS (Stainless steel) for 27" wide cabinet or JX7230SLSS (Stainless steel) for 30" wide cabinet. By the way the microwave will be black and then the trim kit is stainless steel in color. Hope this helps. Geoff@GEA

• A:Answer Hello- We appreciate your interest in our 2.0 Cubic Ft. Capacity Countertop microwave. This is an excellent model with plenty of room. It isn't finger print resistant though, it is stainless steel. It is very easy to keep clean though. We always recommend spraying your soft cloth and then wipe dry immediately. Q: QuestionGE #JES2051SN1SS, 2009 is dead. It is in a 30" w x 19-1/8" h vented trim kit that I would like to keep. The current height measured on the face, is 12-3/4", but the newer JES2051SNSS is as 13-5/8" high. What can I do?

Q: QuestionThe clock doesn't seem bright on this microwave - plus the numbers are "scrunched" together. Is there any way to make the clock brighter? I have a GE Profile stove and the clock is perfect!

We do hate to hear you are dissatisfied with the clock display on the microwave. We know that may be frustrating. While there is an option to turn the clock display on or off (you can press and hold 0 for about 3 seconds to do so), there is not a way to brighten the display or space the numbers further apart. • A:Answer Hi, Thanks for your interest in our microwaves, we're happy to help. Our 27" trim kits are model specific and not cross compatible. Model JES2051DNWW is not able to be built in with a trim kit since it is designed for countertop use only. You may want to consider PEB7227ANDD, which is built-in compatible and has very similar dimensions. The optional stainless steel trim kits for this model are JX7227SLSS (27") and JX7230SLSS (30").
