Q: Questiondoes the 19 & 1/4" depth include cord clearance? what is the TOTAL depth from a rear wall to the front of the door? my existing microwave I am replacing says it is 18" but I can't push it in any closer than 1 1/2 inches due to the cord

• A:Answer I'm not sure about the measurements. I can say this mircowave does not last long. I have gone through two in a year time. I thought the first one was "just one of those things" when I purchased the second one (because it fit the mircowave built in shelf) it stopped working 3 months later. We have an air fryer we use a lot more then the mircowave. The mircowave was not being over used at all. When I called GE to honor the warranty, they refused. Best buy would not honor anything after 15 days. I was on the phone for 2 days and talked to maybe more then a handful of people. Finally I had somebody tell me they would send me an email, I would need to purchase the same mircowave, fill out a form and possibly get reimbursed. It has been 4 months or so, still no email. I have since called GE , they are not sure why I was told this because this is not what they do. They do not honor warranty on counter top mircowaves.

Various trim kits are available depending on what finish you want and how large your space is, including JX7227BLTS or JX7230BLTS for a black stainless look, JX7227SLSS or JX7230SLSS for a stainless steel appearance, and others. Q: QuestionDoes this microwave have the option to turn off the turntable? My built-in Profile over stovetop does and I use this feature when dishes too large to turn. Unfortunately, because of shoulder issues I am going to have to go to a counter model.

• A:Answer If you call GE customer service, they will tell you. They are so kind and quick. I have never tried to turn mine off but this model has a powerful turntable and can probably turn even with a turkey or large lasagna dish.

The model number for the new microwave is: PEM31DFWW. This new unit will also need a new trim kit.
