A:AnswerGood day,
We appreciate you reaching out. This is a good question! This unit requires a standard 120V plug. We hope this is helpful. Stay well! Mike@GEA
A:AnswerHello, thanks for reaching out! The normal cycle for this washer/dryer combo is approximately 3 hours for a medium/large towel load. Obviously, if the basket is full of clothes, the cycle will be longer. The wash cycle (about 1 hour) is the same as any other front load washer. The dry cycle tends to be longer due to compromises made to do both functions in the same machine. It's important to only fill the basket about half full to allow the clothes to have room to tumble dry. We hope you find this helpful! Don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or concerns. Best, Kelsey@GEA
A:AnswerHey,
Thanks so much for your question. We're happy to provide an answer! This model is designed to be drained into a standpipe or a laundry tub/sink. This unit is not on rollers and we would not recommend attempting to move this unit to drain into the kitchen sink. Only portable washers should be drained in the kitchen sink. Let us know if you have any questions. Stay safe! Mike@GEA
A:AnswerHi,
Thanks for asking! We appreciate the interest and we'd love to assist you. We found that venting is not necessary for this model, so there is no need to ventilate to the outside. We're glad we could help. Take care!

A:AnswerHello, thank you for your question. This unit is both a washer and dryer, so there is not a need to stack this unit. Additionally, there is not a stack bracket kit available for this unit. We apologize for any inconveniences this may cause. We hope this helps! Please feel free to reach out with any further questions you may have. -Chris@GEA
A:AnswerYes, sorry for the delay, but the delivery / installers did a great job with hauling away the old stacked washer/dryer before bringing up the new one to setup. I had my doubts about them doing it before they arrived, because I'm on a third floor walkup, but they had no problem with it. I did have to help them figure out how the stackable came apart as there was a frame involved that also had to be disassembled.
A:AnswerHi there, Lu - Great question! This washer has a stainless steel tub. We don't recommend installing this washer in an area exposed to dripping water or outside weather conditions. The ambient temperature should never be below 60 degrees F for proper unit operation. Thanks so much for checking and for considering GE Appliances! -Mikayla@GEA
A:Answermeasurements of a three dimensional object.
To put it the most simply, to find a volume, you’d multiply the length of an object, the width of the object and it’s height.
The feet part refers to the base measurement used to get us to the 3D units. A foot, in measurement, is an imperial unit of length which is 12 inches long, or roughly 30.5 centimetres.
So, cubic feet is when you measure the length, width and height using feet, and then multiply the 3 measurements together.
A:AnswerHello Ron,
Thank you for reaching out. We're happy to answer your question. This unit requires 120v. The reason for the usage of water during the dry cycle is because ambient air enters the dryer to the heat exchanger. The heat exchanger acts as the cold surface. It is kept cold by intermittently opening the cold water valve during the dry cycle.
The fan and heating element create heat and airflow. The heated air is passed from the front of the drum. As the air moves through the drum, the tumbling action and the temperature imbalance causes the moisture from the clothes to be attracted to the cool heat exchanger coil.
Moisture drips off the heat exchanger and is drained away with the water used to cool the heat exchanger. If you have any other questions, please feel free to reach out to us via social media or through our Contact Us page. We hope this helps. Best wishes. Mike@GEA
