“Is the foam supposed to be removed from the air vent at the top of the inside of the refrigerator? It seems like it is blocking the airflow. The freezer is cold after being plugged in for a couple of hours but the refrigerator isn't yet.”

Congratulations on your new refrigerator and what an excellent choice! The Styrofoam you see around the controls and vents is not packing material and should not be removed. It is used for insulation and if removed, service will be required to replace it. When starting the refrigerator or changing the temperature, allow for 24 hours until the set point is reached.
