Q: QuestionThe bottom arm stopped spinning. We bought this dishwasher in 2021. Any ideas as to how to troubleshoot it?
Asked by Kelly.
- A:Answer Oh no, we are so sorry to hear that your dishwasher's lower spray arm is not spinning and appreciate you reaching out. We're happy to help. If your bottom spray arm is not spinning, the dishwasher may not be filling with the proper amount of water. If not enough water is entering the dishwasher, check to make sure that the water inlet hose connected to the dishwasher is not kinked. Additionally, not enough water can also occur if your water pressure is low. Dishwashers require 20 to 120 PSI. The water line should be 3/8" O.D. (outside diameter) minimum copper tubing. Using a water line that is too small will restrict proper water flow into the dishwasher. If these troubleshooting tips do not resolve your issue, then we recommend you schedule service with us by calling 1-800-GECares (1-800-432-2737) Monday – Friday: 7 a.m. – 10 p.m. ET or Saturday – Sunday: 8 a.m. – 6 p.m. ET or by visiting the "Schedule Service" link under the "Owner Support" tab on our website. We hope this helps. -Chris@GEA

Q: QuestionThe specifications, and an earlier Q&A are very misleading. The rough opening is claimed to require 24" yet the specifications and the Q&A answer both say it is a 24-3/4" wide dishwasher. You can't put a 24-3/4 wide object through a 24" wide hole. !?

Q: QuestionDoes it have hard food disposer
Asked by Fred.
- A:Answer Hi! Thanks for asking. Yes, our dishwashers have an anti-jamming Piranha hard food disposer. The Piranha food disposer inside the dishwasher grinds food particles before they go down the drain. This clears the passage through to the drain and eliminates the need to pre-rinse dishes. The Piranha hard food disposer is made of stainless steel and will never rust. Hope this helps! -Michael@GEA

Q: QuestionWe live in the desert and need to save water. I am concerned that the 3 hour cycles I am reading about will use a lot of water. What is the water usage on this model?
Asked by Barb.
- A:Answer Hello and thanks for your interest in this great dishwasher. Cycle times are determined by the soil level, water temperature, and options that are selected. The longest cycle is for heavily soiled dishes or cookware with dried-on or baked-on soils, and lasts for 2 hours, 30 minutes. This cycle uses approximately 6.6 gallons of water. However, the light cycle uses approximately 2.4 gallons, and the normal cycle 3.4 – 6 gallons. If we can be of additional assistance, please let us know. -Gina@GEA

Q: QuestionMy sink doesn't have the hole for an air vent, do I need it for this dishwasher?
Asked by Isabel.
- A:Answer Hi there. If local codes or ordinances require an air gap, it must be installed. However, if it’s not required and the waste tee or disposer is 18 inches or more off the ground, you do not need to use an air gap. Installation information can be found here: https://content.syndigo.com/asset/0cc7b268-0efc-4551-b392-13354e99c6de/original.pdf. Q: QuestionDoes this dishwasher have an adjustable height settings?
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer Yes, but there are only two heights, which doesn't do me much good. If I lower the top rack to accommodate my red wine glasses, the top rack sprayer hits the dinner plates. If I raise it, the red wine glasses don't fit at all, so I'm stuck using only white wine glasses.
