Break off the front portion of the tab with pliers at the location shown, prior to attaching to the dishwasher. Refer to the installation instructions for complete instructions. A:AnswerYes, the dishwasher has a very strong chemical odor. The odor was even on our dishes. We had to rewash our dishes in extremely hot water to remove the smell.
We have run our dishwasher multiple times and it has not gotten any better. Avoid GE products!
