“I just notice that the freezer part of this side by side does not have a drain hole at the bottom of the freezer... How then does the freezer eliminate the condensate from frozen items when freezer door opens while restocking? My old side by side does”

Hello, thank you for your question. All freezers will have a place for condensation to drain to. If you do not see a drain tube, it is there, but may be covered or in a place that is inaccessible.
