Hi LordAragorn, thanks for reaching out to us! Your icemaker will have a "lightswitch-esque" switch or a sliding switch that you can use to turn the unit off and on. Once the bucket is full, making sure that it's in the proper position, the icemaker will be able to sense when to stop making ice. We hope that this helps. Stay safe.
