A:AnswerHello CZNH,
Thanks so much for reaching out. We're happy to assist you. We do not measure the decibel ratings of our refrigerators and freezers. There will be normal sounds you may hear such as fans spinning and humming/whooshing. We hope this information is helpful. Best wishes. Mike@GEA

A:AnswerHi LordAragorn, thanks for reaching out to us! Your icemaker will have a "lightswitch-esque" switch or a sliding switch that you can use to turn the unit off and on. Once the bucket is full, making sure that it's in the proper position, the icemaker will be able to sense when to stop making ice. We hope that this helps. Stay safe.

A:AnswerBut that model, GNE27JYMFS, does not have the built-in ice maker.
Also, I wanted to order the GNE27JSMSS but it's listed as discontinued at most retail outlets, but oddly not on the GE website.
I was still able to order one on Best Buy on 5/18/20.
A:AnswerHi batya - Yes, Model GNE27JSMSS has separate Fridge and Freezer temperature controls. Electronic sensors continually monitor temperatures throughout the fresh food and freezer compartments. The controls are located at the top when you open the French doors. Thanks for choosing GE! Sue
A:AnswerHi - Thanks for choosing GE Model # GNE27JSMSS! Here's the link to the Use and Care Manual: https://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=49-60805-3.PDF - The icemaker is dependent upon the temperature in the freezer. The speed at which the icemaker produces ice is governed by the freezer dial setting. Also, there must be a food load in the fresh food and freezer or temperatures will not drop sufficiently to cycle the icemaker. Take a look at the following links - ICEMAKER - NEW INSTALLATION TIPS & TROUBLESHOOTING: https://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=39362 - REFRIGERATOR - SLOW ICE PRODUCTION: https://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=17763 - We hope these tips are helpful. A:AnswerHi Ray - Yes, Model GNE27JSMSS has an internal water dispenser located on the left wall inside the refrigerator compartment. Thanks for considering GE! Sue
A:AnswerHi - Thanks for choosing GE Model GNE27JSMSS! We certainly understand your concern and happy to help. If you hear buzzing from the refrigerator, it is most likely coming from the icemaker. On models with the XWF filter (many bottom-freezer and side-by-side models), you may hear the sound for 5 seconds about once every hour. It is caused by an isolation valve that is designed to help prevent major leaks from the filter. Check and make sure the icemaker is turned off if water is not connected to the refrigerator. We suggest to view the Icemaker On/Off switch on page 16 of the Use and Care Manual at the following link: https://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=49-60805-3.PDF - We hope this is helpful. Keep in touch at GEAppliances.com. Sue

A:AnswerHi Susan - Yes, The door alarm feature helps ensure food preservation is maximized by signaling if the fresh food door(s) or freezer drawer has been left ajar. When the fresh food door(s) has been left open longer than 2 minutes, a beeping signal will sound. Note: Alarm won't sound if door is open between 1/2" to 3". Thanks for your interest! Sue
A:AnswerHi Gattie - The sides of the refrigerator are Dorian gray which is a dark gray. This is true for all GE French-Door Refrigerators in stainless steel. Thanks for your interest! Keep in touch at GEAppliances.com - Sue
