“I’m replacing a 24” wide GE product, but can only find the 27”. With a little effort my opening can be increased to 25”, but no more. Before I purchase the 27”, I need to be sure that the 27” is zero clearance, as it will be right against the cabinet wall”

i found that what is advertised as a 27” wide unit actually fit in an opening of about 24 1/2 inches. Evidently the manufacturers measure the outside dimensions of the unit itself (the front) instead of what size opening will work. Sort of like lumber. A “2 x 4” will not actually measure 2 inches by 4 inches. It’s smaller.
