QuestionIs the dryer vent free? In another words, does it have a box that needs to be filled with water? Washer Capacity is for how many pounds pf clothing?

- Answer My unit is not ventless and requires a dryer vent hose. Don't know about pounds of clothes but I just washed 3 pairs of jeans and at least a dozen shirts in a single load. Hope that helps

QuestionDoes the depth on the specs include a 3" clearance for the dryer vent? If not, wouldn't that push out the whole unit to a depth of about 33"? Thanks!

- Answer Our unit is installed in a small closet built to accommodate it. Fit snugly against the back wall, the front of the unit is 34 1/2” from the back wall. 34 12” includes the space for wiring/piping. If I was going to rebuild this, I’d try to allow a couple extra inches. I think 35 1/2 to 37 would be idel for front back space, but 34 1/2 works for us. We are very pleased with the product.

- Answer Hi Linda- Model GUD27ESSMWW has limited WiFi Connect capability using the optional ConnectPlus module PBX10W00Y0 (sold separately). The washer can be monitored using the Laundry - GE Appliances app. Allows you to monitor cycle status and time remaining for the washer only; it does not allow for remote operation of the washer (Check washer cycle usage data, receive an alert when a cycle is finished, receive an alert when damp clothes remain in the washer for 30 minutes, provides service updates and diagnostics). QuestionDoes this come with the power cord, or do I need to purchase it separate it says only one cord for washer and dryer into a 220 outlet is that cord a 3 prong or 4 prong?

- Answer The power cord is not provided with the appliance. You'll need to separately purchase a UL rated 120/240V, 30A cord with 3 or 4 prongs. Identify the plug type as per the house receptacle before purchasing line cord.

- Answer Yes, this model can be installed in an apartment as long there is firm flooring to minimize vibration during a spin cycle, fits all clearance requirements, and can be exhausted to the outside. - Answer The minimum clearance between dryer cabinet and adjacent walls or other surfaces is: 0” either side, 0” rear, 1” front, and 1" top. The back of the appliance shall be placed against a wall.

- Answer Try shutting off the circuit breaker for a minute or two and then restore power. This will reset the internal circuitry and may resolve the issue. QuestionHI, I have 71 inches clearance height in the frame of the closet, which is where I plan to install the unit. Inside the close I have enough height, but I wonder if the 71 inches height will be a problem trying to open the door of the drier.

- Answer This model has a total height of about 75 7/8". Based on your space, 71" of clearance in your closet’s frame will not fit. For reference, we recommend at least 1 inch of clearance on top and 3 inches in the front for door swing.

- Answer The Department of Energy (DOE) sets standards for washer water usage. Over the years, the amount of allowable water usage has been reduced. With washers using less water and energy, you will no longer see a wash basket full of water. Most washers are now programmed with load sensing to adjust water levels based on the cycle and load size, so the amount of water used will vary. To calculate the average water used for a wash cycle, multiply Water Factor x Capacity. The Water Factor (WF) for this model is 6.5 and the capacity is 3.8. This equals 24.7 gallons of water on average will be used per cycle. -Vikki@GEAppliances

QuestionI purchased this washer/dryer from Best Buy less than 2 years ago. The fins on the agitator broke. In my research online it is very hard to find information or instructions on removing the agitator. It appears to be bolted in. Can you help?

QuestionIs the lid on the washer suppose to be magnetic? Mine is not and easily falls down when putting in or taking clothes out. When I was looking at them in the store I remember that the lid was magnetic. Has this feature change?
