- Answer I don't know the RPMs, but it gets going REALLY fast (with a slow acceleration at first), way more than our old Whirlpool.

QuestionHow many watts does it use for a "normal" wash cycle? I live on solar power and need to know how much of my battery it will use up each time I do a wash. Gas dryer is my choice for the same reason. Thanks!

QuestionWhere does the power cord install for the washer. I see where the dryer power source connects but washer cord is not obvious and I don't see anything on the installation instructions from the GE website and pdf I downloaded

- Answer I'm no technician, but as this model uses gas for drying, it only needs one power cord (requiring 120 volts and 20 amps) for both the washer and dryer functions.

- Answer Hi there - we checked the installation instructions for this unit, and we can confirm that this laundry center would work with most standard 3-prong outlets. The outlet must a properly grounded 3-prong receptacle to be located so the power cord is accessible when the dryer is in an installed position. The power supply must be a 2-wire plus ground, 120-volt, single phase, 60 Hz, alternating current. -- Please also keep in mind that the dryer for this unit comes ready to be installed with natural gas, and you can purchase the conversion kit to LP (Liquid Propane) separately. QuestionHello, I see no mention of the drain hose from your questions and answers. However, on your specifications sheet, it says Drain Hose - No, Fill Hoses - Yes. Is this an error? Normally, Drain hose is included and not the Fill Hoses. Please advise.

You'll need a 15 or 20 amp circuit breaker or time-delay fuse. • Power Supply – 2-wire plus ground, 120 Volt, single phase, 60 Hz, alternating current. The outlet receptacle should be a properly grounded 3-prong receptacle and be located so the power cord is accessible when the dryer is in an installed position. QuestionThe dryer was operating very quiet 4-5 months ago. Now, when I'm drying my clothes, I noticed all internal metal sheets are vibrating and making huge noise. How can this be fixed?

QuestionCan you tell me if this is a long vent model or not? I have to vent it 40’ with 4 90deg elbows. According to the installation manual if it’s long vent I’m okay to do so but it’s near impossible to find out if it’s long vent or not? Thank you Bra

QuestionCan anyone tell me how far out away from the wall this unit sits if it is vented out the side?

- Answer The 27" model can side vented without punch outs AND backed right up to the wall, because it's designed with enough room for the vent to go to the side, in the area between the washer and dryer. I've been going nuts with the exact same question. They don't make it easy! I think is so you'll hire a handyman/ private installer to do all unusual venting, but that is not needed in with this model. From my research and studying of the installation manual, the 24" smaller unit needs a punch out, but this one doesn't. The area connecting the top and bottom (dryer and washer) is designed to make it work with no punch out. You can back the unit right up to the wall. It says you're supposed to have 1" clearance in front if the unit, but 0" behind. So the Plug- and Play installers from Best Buy should be able to do it - if you have the correct long enough rigid metal vent tube... (I suspect 15" but don't quote me), which needs to be UL rated. The installation manual makes it sound like there's a built-in elbow at the vent point on the unit - and that can be rotated to point left, right or down. The straight tube gets attached to that till it extends past the body of the unit, where the overheating/ fire danger is less. It can then attach to a flexible aluminum vent or whatever you've got. Search the internet for "GE Model GUD27ESSMWW Installation manual"

- Answer Hi - Model GUD27GSSMWW is compatible with optional LP Conversion Kit WE25M74 (sold separately). Also, this appliance should be connected to an individual branch circuit with 120-volt single-phase 60 Hz electrical service and should be protected by 20-amp time-day fuses or circuit breakers. This appliance is equipped with a 4-foot long flexible U.S. listed 20-amp power cord to match a 20-amp receptacle. Keep in touch! Sue

QuestionI just had this unit installed. When the washer is in the wash cycle, the agitator moves a little bit forward, pauses, moves forward, pauses, moves forward, etc...….and seems slow. It does not agitate back and forth. Is it supposed to work this way?
