We certainly want to help with the issue you're having with the Hot Surface indicator. We recommend disconnecting the appliance from power for a couple of minutes before reconnecting; this resets the electrical components and can often resolve an issue. If the indicator still won't go off, even when the appliance hasn't been in use for 30 minutes to an hour, Bodewell (GE Appliances' team of appliance care experts) can be reached at 833-426-3393.
