    • Answer I would recommend that you get an LG instead of this unit. I have 2 GE go out since April. Mine is installed with plywood around it in the tracks of a aluminum window frame.

  • QuestionI have trouble falling asleep with my current AC turning on and off once it reaches a certain temperature but I don't want to put it in cool mode because then it runs all night. With this AC am I able to schedule cool mood for 2 hours then switch to eco?

  • QuestionDoes this unit have a BOTTOM drain hole so water can drain out. It will be instralled on patio and I need to catch and water that leaks out.

    • Answer it says not to drill any holes in it. And says *innmanual* do not remove the sub base water drain plug (rubber piece over a hole in the back ) it says it will drain the water out if the back if it gets to high (obviously it’s meant to contain a certain amount of water at all times ). It’s designed so the fan (above this drain hole plug will shoot the water from the base pan at the condenser keeping it cool. And (achieving longevity ) I assume. It’s my first summer with this. It’s the 6000 btu model same features. Same design. I’ve never owned one with a rubber drain plug that you can pop out at any time , also in recent years I’ve never had to “Tilt” a unit out my window in about a decade. (Didn’t really answer sorry but I remove the plug randomly ) if thats how yours operates too the case with your unitt and you don’t want any water on the ground ,Drain the base water into any kind of bucket Hope I find similar info

    • Answer Hello- Thanks so much for your interest in our 8,000 BTU Smart Window Air Conditioner. This is a great model that is meant for a double-hung window. If you don't have a minimum with of 24 1/2" you will need to modify the installation slightly for the unit to fit. All supporting parts must be secured to firm wood, masonry or metal.   • QuestionHi we have a game room that gets real warm. We need an AC that will work even if outdoor temps get to 45-50 or below, we need the thermostat on the inside to gauge the indoor temp, will this unit do this?
