No, the washer and dryer do NOT work off the same outlet, but the washer only requires a 110 circuit where the dryer requires a 220 circuit. I am very pleased with the pair, I might add. Very quiet and all the features I expected and liked. The Bosch works with an indoor evaporative dryer. In other words, all the heat and some humidity from the dryer gets put into your laundry room. I did not want that type of setup in Florida. We always need to get the heat and moisture out of the buildings. This is why I chose the GE. Of course the GE won't work in a high rise without outside ventilation.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi Em- Thanks for viewing! The dryer does not offer a 120V outlet for the washer. GE® 2.2 DOE Cu. Ft. Frontload Washer WCVH4800KWW requires a 120V (not 220V like the dryer), individual, properly polarized and grounded 15-amp branch circuit fused with 15-amp, time-delay fuse or circuit breaker. Keep in touch! SUEatGEA
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The washer does not plug into the dryer. The washer plugs into a grounded 120 v outlet. The dryer requires a 220 v outlet and is designed to vent to the outside as is usual for most standard size dryers.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Either the washer plugged into the dryer or it was the other way around as we only had one outlet also.
