“I have a GE washer with an agitator and a basket that sits on top to catch any lint from clothes. I like GE, do they have any washers with lint catcher in them. I'm on a septic system the lint can mess up the drain field.”

Hi 55andalive- Thanks for viewing our GE Top-Load Washers. We know longer offer washers with the filter-flo pan (lint pan) on top of the agitator. The drain system on the newer models allows water to flow through the basket and out the bottom of the tub pulling lint, hair, and small particles with the water. There is no maintenance required on this system. Lint discharge from the washer should not cause a problem with septic tanks because most lint is produced from cotton fabrics which are biodegradable and septic tanks are designed to handle these fibers.
