Hi Noni- This is Sue at GE Appliances. Thanks for your purchase! The 4.2 DOE capacity models have a deeper tub than the 3.8 DOE capacity models. Also, the washer features Auto Balance Suspension System. The washer tub moves freely within our exclusive balance system. It is a rod and spring floating suspension, designed to withstand extensive out of balance situations so you should not expect much vibration during use due to the agitator if installed and leveled properly.
