“I have a 1y/o GE GTW680 top load no agitator. On idle, the machine drip water from the soap tray. Any dry clothes left in the machine become wet and heavy resulting the machine to incorrectly default to a full load. What cause this dripping problem?”

Dripping water some from the soap tray is normal. The other problem I have not seen. You might need to call a technician.
