“Does your 4.2 cubic 14 cycle top loader enable one to manually dial to spin and have just that option if they hand washed and just want to get out some of the water? Also, does the 4.2 have a quicker wash load than 4.6? 4.2 looks more manual vs digital?”

Hi Customer- Both GE® 4.6 GTW680BSJWS and GE® 4.2 GTW460ASJWW have a Drain & Spin cycle and Speed Wash cycle. GTW680BSJWS has an Infusor and recirculation pump. Loads are thoroughly saturated with this recirculation pump that moves water and detergent through clothes. A patented Infusor replaces the agitator. Top-load washers with an Infusor will not have a traditional agitator. The Infusor replaces the agitator and is approximately 7 1/2" high and has a wide base (wash plate) that works alone or with the wash basket to provide different types of wash action. With an Infusor, the clothes stay near the wash plate. The mechanical action of the Infusor moves the clothes through the water and against the sides of the tub and down around the Infusor. This wash system is softer and quieter during agitation.The Infusor also rotates (or oscillates) back and forth to "measure" resistance on it's surface to determine the load size. This provides Adaptive Water Fill so the washer auto-fills with just the right amount of water needed for great wash performance. Keep in touch! SUEatGEA
