Q: QuestionWould this range work with butane gas instead of propane? In a rural area where butane is the only option. If not, are there other models that would work with butane?

• A:Answer Hello Perry, Great question! Butane cannot be used to operate our gas ranges. If used, large reddish flame would smoke up the range and the house. It is not readily available except in commercial grades, which can't be used with our residential use ranges. Hope this helps. Best wishes -Mike

• A:Answer I do have an old pilot one, (no plug, no battery), that we'll be looking to sell from Minnesota. I'm actually on here shopping for one with a plug, we only have a 110W plug, so I'm trying to find out if this one has a 110W plug or a 220W. :D

All GE Appliances gas cooking products, (freestanding ranges, cooktops, wall ovens) should be connected to gas supply line that is 1/2" I.D. national pipe thread. Connection on range product itself is 1/2" o.d. NPT female fitting. Note: There is an adapter that can be purchased to convert it to 3/4" I.D. The adapter can be purchased at hardware stores or plumbing supply houses. • A:Answer Hi Cawi - We have good news! All of our gas cooking appliances come ready to be connected to natural gas and also come with an LP conversion kit to connect to LP (Liquid Propane). The conversion instructions are located in the wiring diagram (mini-manual) and are included with the LP kit attached to the appliance near the pressure regulator. We recommend a qualified installer or servicer convert the gas range to the proper gas supply needed. The conversion must be in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions and all codes and requirements of the authority having jurisdiction. We’d love to have you in the family. Q: QuestionWhat is the clearance required for the bottom of adjacent walls cabinets from the counter top? I bought another model and had to send it back because my wall cabinets are only 15" from the counter top. usually most ranges I am looking at require 18" min.

• A:Answer Hi Pennye - In the case of a power outage, you can light the surface burners with a match. Hold a lighted match to the burner, then turn the knob to the low position. Use extreme caution when lighting the burners this way. The oven is lit by electric ignition, eliminating the need for standing pilots. The oven cannot be lit without power supplied to it.
