• A:Answer Hi Buddy - Thanks for considering GE! Model JGBS66REKSS has Steam Clean (not self-cleaning). The steam clean cycle is 30 minutes and will loosen soil on the racks as well as the oven interior, which then can be wiped off with a soapy dishcloth. This feature is quicker, cooler and faster than the Self-Clean feature. Simply pour 1 cup of water in the center of the oven floor and choose Steam Clean. • A:Answer Thanks for reaching out about this range and its griddle! You will need to season the griddle when you first use it. Before first use, rinse with hot water and dry thoroughly. To re-season it, heat your oven to 350F. Coat the griddle with a thin layer of oil and place it in the oven for one hour. Allow the griddle to cool and repeat as necessary to restore the seasoning.
