A:AnswerHi - Thank you for having purchased a GE front-load washer. When initially "powering up" the washer with the tub empty it should automatically default to Auto. If your unit is not doing this, please disconnect power to the washer for 1-2 minutes to reset the electronics. If the issue persists, we would recommend service. All our best! Vikki@GEA
A:AnswerHi there, thanks for asking! We'd love to help out. We'd recommend taking a look at your washer and dryer's installation instructions for information about the electrical and clearance requirements for these models. - You can use the washer and dryer without connecting to your home wifi. A:AnswerHi,
Thanks for asking! We appreciate you choosing GE Appliances and we're here to help. We don't recommend using a pedestal from another model. The pedestal for this specific washer is GFP1528SNWW. You can see it here:

A:AnswerHi there - Great question! With the SmartHQ app, you'll be able to monitor cycle status, time remaining, extend the dry cycle, and receive an alert when your cycle is finished. During the operation of the UltraFresh vent system, the washer will intermittently spin at low speeds for up to 8 hours. The feature may be cancelled at any time by pressing the Power pad, turning the cycle knob, or pressing the UltraFresh Vent pad. Thanks for asking. All the best! -Mikayla@GEA
A:AnswerHi there - Great question! No, this washer must be plugged directly into a properly grounded 3-prong wall outlet. We hope this helps. Feel free to reach out to us on social media if any questions or concerns come up. Thanks so much for checking! -Mikayla@GEA
A:Answeri have this exact model and it is not an option listed for me. it is very disappointing. wife and i purchased a house and it came with the 850 washer and dryer. nice looking, but we feel our LG washer and dryer had better features, and since we kept them from the last move, are very close to replacing them and selling the GE's.
i do see someone wrote that that if they run the "Ultrafresh Vent" cycle and it determines that there are clothes, it will run "Tumble Dry". That may be true, but it appears one has to go and manually start that cycle after the original wash cycle is finished. With an LG it is just a button i push, "Fresh Care" to add to my laundry cycle automatically after it is done. This is much more handier if i have left the house for awhile and cannot tend to my laundry.
If there was a way i could add/run GE's "ultrafresh vent" cycle so it starts automatically after a wash cycle, that would be 100% improvement.

Thanks for contacting us! We appreciate your interest in this GE Appliance. We'd be glad to help you with finding accessories for this washer. We found that for this model, as long as the pan has dimensions greater than 28" Width x 33" Depth, it should fit this washer appropriately. For our front load models, we recommend PM7X2.
We hope this information helps. Feel free to contact us if you have any more questions or concerns!

A:AnswerHello Tom,
We appreciate you reaching out. Great question! You can use washing discs (pods) with this washer. For this model, throw the disc directly into the wash basket and follow the detergent manufacturer's instructions. We hope this helps. Best wishes. Mike@GEA
A:AnswerI got a GE set in May of 2020 and they are working great. I didn't know I need a washer pan for the washer so we don't let it spin past medium speed or it will start walking. No noises to be concerned with so far.
