QuestionWhat is the depth of the tub from the top to the bottom of the tub. This is almost a foot higher than my front loader and i'm concerned we're too short to reach the bottom of the drum.

QuestionI bought this unit because it was supposed to have smart features that would allow me to Start, Stop, change settings, on/off etc. I'm disabled and making multiple trips to the washer and dryer is hard. Non of the controls pictured are in the app?

QuestionIs the rubber ring at the top of the tub supposed to move around so much? Also, washed my first load of towels and had to redistribute several times. ended up having to remove partially to get them to spin out :/ and can't reach the bottom without step.

We are sorry to hear of the trouble you have had in washing your towels and are happy to offer you some guidance in this. The movement you are describing is due to the auto balance suspension system design that allows all our washer tubs to move freely to withstand out of balance situations. This is normal! - However, you should not find that you must redistribute items throughout the wash cycle. If your items are too wet, make sure that you have a spin cycle selected and that the cycle selected matches the load you are washing according to pages 8-9 of your Use and Care Manual. Page 6 will also offer you guidance on how to properly load your washer in hopes of preventing this. Please feel free to reach out to us if you have any additional questions. QuestionI have a cabinet over where the washer would be. I’m concerned that the lid won’t open. Will it fit under a cabinet? The cabinet is 12 inches deep and the bottom is 53 inches high.

QuestionI want to add my own detergent per load. I don't trust this new technology just yet to clean my clothes by using the right amount of detergent. Is there an option to turn off or do I just enter the desired amount per load instead?

- Answer Hey Albert. Thanks for reaching out about this great washer! This is a fantastic question and we'll be happy to walk you through some of the comparisons. Model GTW840CSNWS has the same width as your current washer, but a greater height by 6" and a greater depth by 1-1/2". Whether or not this washer will fit depends on your space. One of the best features this new washer has is Smart Dispense technology. This makes sure the correct amount of detergent is dispensed with each load. You can also pre-treat your clothes in the washer using the water station. Lastly, this washer is manufactured in Louisville, Kentucky. We hope this is useful information! QuestionIS A DRAIN HOSE INCLUDED?

- Answer Yes - The unit is great except for one downfall, and I will not purchase this product again, 95% of the time the unit will get out of balance, and to correct the problem one must remove all of the wet cloths from the washer and replace them in the tub evenly to get the last spin to work. The unit is 100% waste of money for this reason. I recommend never to purchase this unit, you will regret it. Wish I could return my unit.

- Answer Hi - Thanks for viewing GE! Yes, Model GTW840CSNWS has Deep Fill option. Select the Deep Fill feature for loads where extra water is needed. Press and release the Deep Fill button once before starting the cycle to add 3 addition gallons of water to the wash load. Holding the Deep Fill button for 3 seconds will provide the deepest fill level possible. The Deep Fill button can also be pressed after the washer has completed filling and is in the wash phase if additional water is desired. Keep in touch at GEAppliances.com. Sue

QuestionHow long is the complete wash cycle on this, and other GE “no agitator” models? Is it the same, longer or shorter than “agitator” models? I’m looking for which type of washer, agitator or no agitator model, will have the shortest wash cycle. Thanks!

- Answer Hello MickeyD - Thank you for reaching out about our excellent washers. We are happy to provide more information. To make the comparison you are asking for, we looked at the following models: GTW840 (infusor) = 41 minutes GTW845 (agitator) = 38 minutes Both of these times assume an average size load with warm water selected and with no options selected. There is a difference of only three minutes between the two, which is not very much. Adjustment of the soil level would compensate for that difference. Both washers offer a Quick Wash cycle (intended for small loads of lightly soiled clothing) that complete a wash cycle in a little over 20 minutes. In consideration of this, we recommend that you select your washer based on the wash system that you prefer rather than the small difference in cycle times between the two. Keep in touch! - JB
