Hi there, and thanks for reaching out to us! We hate to hear you did not receive a manual for your range; we know that is valuable for a new appliance, and are glad to advise you can view the manual online. If you go to our GE website and look up your model number, you can click on the product page and use the 'Owner Support' link (under the picture of the appliance) to pull up that document. The instructions for cleaning the range, including the Self Clean option, start on page 16 of the manual. There are also safety instructions at the beginning of the manual for Self Clean, because of the very high temperatures. To give an overview: before operating Self Clean, wipe up grease and soils from the oven. Remove all items from the interior other than dark color enamel racks. Shiny or silver racks, cookware and other items need to be removed. Close and latch the door, and press the Self Clean pad. A default time will be displayed which you can alter if you wish using the plus and minus options; once you have the preferred time press Start. It will take at least 3 and at most 5 hours; the oven will reach extremely high temperatures during this time and for safety reasons needs to stay locked and closed. The oven will turn itself off when the cycle is complete. Once it has cooled down it can be unlocked and any remaining ash wiped up. The first time you use Self Clean, we recommend venting your kitchen with an open window, or using a ventilation fan or hood. If you own birds we advise moving them to another well-ventilated room; their health can be sensitive to the fumes given off during this cycle. We hope this information is helpful, and are available for any other concerns or questions. Best wishes! -Sarah@GEA
