“I was a bit confused by your reply on the color of the cooktop. White patterned black?? Would that in effect be a kind of gray or not? I have had smooth tops for over 25 years and am very familiar with cleaning etc. However I do not like black!!”

Hi Mbm7718- We apologize for any confusion. The black glass cooktop has a white pattern (white speckles) on the glass so the cooktop is not solid black and will appear lighter or grayish. We hope this is helpful. Keep in touch at GEAppliances.com - Sue
