A:AnswerAll ranges without a downdraft vent need a vent above them if that is what you are referring to. Otherwise the oven vents itself out the back and out behind the burners along the wall.

A:AnswerHello. Thanks for reaching out! The cooktop surface is 19 3/4"L X 29 15/16"W and ¼" deep from the lip at the back of the cooktop between the wall and the slot that vents the oven. From the cooktop glass to the tip of the knob the measurement is approx. 1.6". We hope this helps, and should you have any additional questions, please reach out to us!- Kianna@GEA
A:AnswerWe appreciate you reaching out to us about this. There are many factors that go into how long a burner will take to cool all the way down, like how long it was used, ambient room temperature, and pan sized used. If your burner is staying on for an extended period of time, we would love to talk to you about it. If this is the case, feel free to reach out to us on social media so we can look into this more. -Chris@GEA
A:AnswerHello there, thank you for reaching out. On radiant (glass) cooktops, the surface temperature limiters are what monitor the surface temperature and will shut off (surface indicator lights) when the surface temperature drops below 150 degrees. If this stays on after this, we first suggest disconnecting power to the unit for 2-3 minutes to reset the controls. If the problem persists, we recommend scheduling service with a certified GE Appliances technician that will be able to accurately diagnose and repair your appliance. You can do so by calling GE Appliance Service at 1-800-GECares (1-800-432-2737). We hope this information is found beneficial and we're wishing you the best. - Guy@GEA

A:AnswerI have not noticed a problem with cook time with my new oven. I would suggest trying the convect bake option if available, and not just for baking. The convection feature just circulates the hot air, and shortens cooking/baking time. If you don't have a convection option, I would test the cook time of tried and true recipes and if still not in the correct timeframe send it back!

A:AnswerHello Kara - Thank you for considering GE Appliances for your home. This excellent range should not be modified to add a built in downdraft. Also, telescopic downdrafts are not capable of installing behind ranges. We apologize for the inconvenience. Keep in touch! - John@GEA
A:AnswerSounds like you have the GE Profile series which is all touch controlled. It is very similar to the other. I would expect them to share many of the same functions. As for the range cutting off after setting the temperature, you may need to push the START button immediately after setting temp for the range to start and keep heating until your are done, then push cancel/off button to stop. Hope this is helpful.
