A:AnswerHi rarbittef - This slide-in range is designed for easy installation in a standard 30" free-standing range space. GE slide-in ranges are guaranteed for an exact fit or GE Appliances will pay up to $300 toward modifications. Play Video: https://www.youtube.com/embed/nfrt61zqeho?rel=0 - Make sure the wall covering, countertop, flooring and cabinets around the range can withstand
the heat (up to 200°F) generated by the range. For reference, check out the Installation Guide at the following link: https://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=31-11105-4.pdf - You might want to pair with an over-the-range microwave. Check out GE® 1.7 Cu. Ft. Over-the-Range Sensor Microwave Oven JVM6175SKSS. Two-speed, 300-CFM venting system removes smoke, steam and odors. Thanks for considering GE! Sue
A:AnswerNever have had the problem my light come on and goes off as it should for all of the burners.
Does this happen for all burners or just one burner might be of help to the repair man.
A:AnswerThere is a thin black frame around the glass top. This frame is tacky and subtracts from the sleekness and looks of the range. This frame also causes the cook top cleaner, Cerebrite, to catch and dry in the frame ridges. Thus there is a dried white line framing the cooktop! It is a major pain to remove this dried cleaner.
A:AnswerHi Neil- Yes, you are correct. Standard cabinets are 24" deep and standard countertops are 25" deep. This range is designed to be installed with these standard cabinets and countertops. The Overall Depth of 28 1/4" includes the handle. We suggest to view Quick Specs at the following link for dimensions and cabinet cutout: https://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=JS760BL_DL_EL_SL_R2_17.pdf - Keep in touch! A:AnswerHi Mary- Temperatures can vary by + 30 degrees and down – 30 degrees as the oven cycles on and off. This is common. Oven temperature is also affected by door openings. If your new range or wall oven doesn't cook like your old one, this can be normal. Your new oven has a different cooking system from your old oven and therefore may cook differently than your old oven. For the first few uses, follow your recipe times and temperatures carefully and use the rack positions recommended in the Owner's Manual. You can also test to see if your oven is cooking properly using the "biscuit test". For more information, visit - Oven Temperature Bake Test: http://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=16653 - If you still think your new oven is too hot or too cold, you can adjust the temperature yourself to meet your specific cooking preference. See the "Adjust the Oven Thermostat" "Do It Yourself" section in your Owner's manual for instruction (Page 12): http://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=49-80815_LORESr0s0.pdf - Thanks for choosing GE.
