“I’m confused. Is the griddle for this model Teflon or cast iron? There were two different responses. If it’s Teflon, can I just remove the griddle altogether? What is underneath?”

• Hi Stephgeewhiz- Thanks for choosing GE! The aluminum griddle included has a non-stick coating (same family as Teflon). The range is also compatible with REVERSIBLE CAST IRON GRILL/GRIDDLE JXGRILL1 (sold separately) and CENTER CAST IRON GRATE JXGRATE1 (sold separately). • Think it’s Teflon because it is. not cast iron. There is a very long burner underneath. So you can’t really remove it.
