Q: QuestionIs it OK for this dryer to sit 2 inches on my carpet? And is it OK for this washer to set 4 inches on my carpet?

• A:Answer The dryer can be installed on carpet. -- For a washer, you must ensure the floor beneath the washer is a hard surface with a maximum slope of 1/2" per foot. It must be structurally sound to prevent vibration or movement. If the floor is in poor condition, use a 3/4" impregnated plywood sheet firmly attached to the existing floor covering, ensuring the unit sits level on a stable surface. Q: QuestionIn a closet. My current dryer measures 27”. Only about 5 inches to spare in the back. Will this work?
