A:Answer While this cooktop doesn't require special pots and pans, the pans you use must be flat on the bottom. You can use aluminum, enamel on cast iron (if bottom is also enameled) and copper bottom pans. Copper bottom pans may leave a residue that looks like scratches that can be removed. We do not recommend enamel on steel, glass ceramic, or stoneware as you will experience poor performance. Cast iron is not recommended unless made specifically for glass cooking surfaces as they are slow to heat up and will scratch the glass surface.
