Q: QuestionIt appears that this model is steam clean only. Is there a reason for this and could I hope that a future model just like this would offer self clean also?

Q: QuestionWondering what is the difference between the GE JCGSS86SPSS and the GE JGSS86SPSS? One has a 'c' included and noticed the depth is different, anything else that differentiates the models?

Q: QuestionMy current GE has a second burner in the power burner to make a true simmer. Does this have that feature? Are there any current models with only four burners? I never use the middle oval burner. Is there air fry on both top & bottom oven?

• A:Answer Hey there! The left rear burner has 5,000 BTUs and is the simmer burner that is used for precise low flame cooking. All of our double ovens have the middle grate, and the air fry function for this unit is only in the bottom oven. If we can answer any additional questions, please let us know. -Gina@GEA

Q: QuestionCan the stove on this model be used during a power outage (i.e., if the electric igniter doesn't work, can I just use a match)? I used to have a KitchenAid range that wasn't usable during a power outage and now this issue is on my radar.

Q: QuestionIs there a way to replace the plastic control panel with a glass one? we've had this range less than 2 weeks, cleaned only with microfiber and it is noticeably scratched. it will be unreadable in a year.

• A:Answer Hi - Yes, you can. Each oven has it's own set of cooking controls which allows you to operate the ovens independently. You can have the meat roasting in the lower oven while your casseroles are heating in the upper. This really comes in handy for large gatherings of family and friends. This unit does have an LP conversion kit included. The range is set up for natural gas usage when sent from the factory. Adjusting to use propane instead needs to be done by a qualified technician in accordance with local codes and the installation instructions.
