QuestionI just ordered this dryer today. I need to have it vented on the right side. Do I need to get a vent kit.... the salesperson could not find any listed? Or can I get a plumber to install the side vent with an elbow piece to vent it to the side.

- Answer You need a 6 ft 30 amp dryer power cord. A new one should be purchased should with every new appliance for safety reason per OSHA requirements for appliance sellers. You will need to look in the back where it hooks up to see if it's a 3 cord or 4 cord hook up. Since this is a big appliance, first shut off the breaker for the dryer outlet, after the cord has been installed correctly to the dryer, plug in the power cord, then turn the breaker back on for the outlet and it should work fine.

- Answer Hi Greenbank- Per the Installation Instructions, MINIMUM CLEARANCE OTHER THAN ALCOVE OR CLOSET INSTALLATION: Minimum clearance to combustible surfaces and for air opening are: 0” both sides; 1” rear; 1” on top. Consideration must be given to provide adequate clearance for installation and service. REQUIREMENTS FOR ALCOVE OR CLOSET INSTALLATION: Minimum clearance between dryer cabinet and adjacent walls or other surfaces is: 0” either side, 1” front, 1” rear, 1” top. QuestionBought this dryer based on the great reviews. BB Installed yesterday. Ran first load and it's hot on top and VERY hot on the back. Clothes are not drying quickly and there is water build up at the legs. Vent is new and clear. Any ideas?

- Answer First I would make sure your clothes are being spun properly to dispense the water from them in the final cycle of your washing machine. If you put too many items in the machine then they won't spin dry in this cycle very well making your dryer work harder and causing damp spots in some areas of clothing. I would make sure to not over-fill the dryer with too many clothes especially with heavy cloth items like jeans, towels, throw blankets at one time. I would only fill it 1/3 to 1/2 full so there is plenty of room for the clothes to move and flip around so the heat can surround the clothes better. I set mine on the Optimum setting (under the Cottons setting) and it does dry all mine very well. If you have heavier cloth items, you might set it for More Dry.

- Answer Hi- We do not allow anything other than a 4” round duct. Larger ducts reduce the air velocity and increases the opportunity for lint to “fall out” of the airstream and deposit on the inside of the ducting. QuestionWhen looking at the dimensions listed on the product page it says the depth of this dryer is 26.7 inches but on the questions and answers it says 29 inches. I'm wondering what the actual depth of this dryer is.

- Answer The entire depth of the dryer is 29" + the vent. The 29" is just the dryer box and dude the dimension of the vent hose. need at least 34" total front to back.
