The switch needs to be setup in the C by GE app. After that you can connect your C by GE account to Google Home and control it from the Home app or by voice.

But once you have the switch installed and set up, you don't need to access the apps to use the product; it's now ready to be controlled by your voice using Google Assistant. You will need a compatible Google Assistant; Android phone, Google Home/Max/Mini/Hub or third-party Google Assistant device.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It requires the GE app to be registered with the google home app. During my install, it took several attempts to get it to work. The switch worked manually and through the GE app, but google home wouldn’t recognize it.
