A trim kit consists of the trim frame, as well as an upper, lower, and rear duct that attaches to and encases the microwave inside the cabinet cut-out. It is important to only use the trim kit designed for that model. We suggest to view our GE Profile™ Series 1.5 Cu. Ft. Countertop Convection/Microwave Oven PEB9159SJSS (Stainless Steel/Gray- matches new Wall Ovens). It is compatible with Microwave Optional 30" Built-In Trim Kit JX9153SJSS. Or, PEB9159DJBB (Black) with Microwave Optional 30" Built-In Trim Kit JX9153SJSS (Stainless). - Answer Due to different configurations and design changes involving airflow and heat issues, new microwaves are only approved for installation with current trim kits. Your current model is 1.5 cubic ft. and 1000 Watts the dimensions are the following: 14 3/4 H x 22 5/8 W x 19 7/8 D. We recommend model PEB9159SJSS with trim kit Optional 27" Built-In Kit JX9152SJSS or Optional 30" Built-In Kit JX9153SJSS. If you don't need the convection, please take a look at model, PEB7227ANDD with the trim kit- JX7227SLSS (Stainless steel); JX7230SLSS (Stainless steel).

- Answer The GCSH22U1WSS is a countertop model microwave and is not designed to be built-in or placed above a heat source. There is no trim kit available for this model. The kit you've referenced is designed for use with model PEB9159SJSS only. The trim kits are compatible with select models and offer components that allow the microwave to vent the heat that is generated while in operation to prevent the microwave from overheating. -Vikki@GEAppliances
