- Answer Hi RW1265 - We certainly appreciate your loyalty! Microwave trim kits are not interchangeable. Microwave trim kits are designed to provide a built-in look while also providing air flow necessary to the microwave. A trim kit consists of the trim frame, as well as an upper, lower, and rear duct that attaches to and encases the microwave inside the cabinet cut-out. It is important to only use the trim kit designed for that model so that the trim kit fits the microwave, and provides the proper air flow that it needs. The current GE Profile™ 1.1 Cu. Ft.
