- Answer The vents are located on the sides of the microwave. The optional trim kit provides proper air circulation when installed as a built-in unit. It can be installed above a single electric wall oven. For additional installation details, please see page 1 of the manual for this model by visiting the product page on our GE Appliances website, clicking on the “Owner Support” tab and navigating to the “Quick Specs” section.
