QuestionI need to replace my 36 inch Over the Range Microwave, GE Profile Model #JVM36700BF001. The current mounting space is 16 1/2 " Height by 36 " wide, 14 1/2 " depth. Would you recommend this microwave (or a differenct one) and a trim kit?

- Answer This microwave does not function as a stove vent so I would consider a over the range microwave that has the vent function.

- Answer I recently replaced a GE Microwave that was installed in 2004 when the house was built. I am not sure of the model #. When I needed to replace it I got a GE PEB7227DLW. It was for a built in and I bought the matching surround kit. While its similar to the old surround there were enough things different that I was happy to get the new surround kit.

If you are needing to replace your former built-in combination microwave and thermal oven specifically, we do currently have model JK3800SHSS available. QuestionI have trim kit model # JX7227SF1SS - will this fit this model? My previous GE microwave model # PEB7226SF1SS does not heat any more and I will looking for replacement model without necessarily buying new trim kit.

- Answer Hi - Thank you for your interest in this fully-featured GE microwave oven. The design of the built-in kits have changed and the older kits are not compatible with the new models. The comparable replacement model microwave is the PEB7227DLWW and the 27" - JX7227DLWW or 30" - JX7230DLWW built-in kit designed for this model. - Answer Hi - We appreciate your interest in a new GE microwave. The GE PEB7227ANDD model is designed for built-in application. The microwave itself is gray. You would also purchase the appropriate built-in kit in the color finish you desire. The gray color of the microwave is designed to match the control panel and door on our newer model wall ovens. When you pair this microwave with the slate built-in kit, you now have a beautiful match to the wall oven below. The gray and slate colors are two different color finishes. We hope this helps. QuestionI have a Kenmore 1200 watt built in that I have to replace. Model number is melted off. It's an Elite, 24" wide, 13 1/2 High. Want a well known brand, 1000 or + watt, black front, installation kit (opening 24 3/4" W, 18" H, 23 3/4 D). Recommendation?

It would not be able to fit your current opening. We do have a model that would be able to fit your opening. Model PEM31DFBB can fit an opening of 24.75". We hope this model is to your liking. QuestionCan you get a stainless steal trim kit for the black microwave PEB7227DLBB? I am replacing an existing built in monogram microwave that sits on top of a monogram oven. The grey doesn't match the oven below and the black with black trim would look funny
