- Answer Hey there - that’s a great question. Yes, the Auto Fill feature does work if the glass has ice in it. Ice in the container may affect the fill volume. If issues are experienced, use less ice. Also, splashing may occur depending on the location of the container, water flow rate, container shape and ice cubes. The climate zone crisper drawers that are designed for produce are fixed and cannot be moved. However, all of the 4 fresh food cabinet shelves and 2 of the 6 door bins are adjustable and can be rearranged to your preferences. Additionally, the center adjustable temperature drawer has a removable bin caddy that offers you more storage flexibility and organization options! - Answer Hi Mark - Thanks for viewing GE Profile Model PVD28BYNFS! This model features Space Saving Ice, which is an icemaker located on the left fresh food door. Space Saving Ice stores 3.8 lbs of ice that can be dispensed through dispenser on the door or by removing the ice bucket from the door. It does not have an icemaker in the freezer drawer. - Answer Hi Buddy - Thanks for considering GE Profile Model PVD28BYNFS! Space Saving Icemaker produces approximately 3.6 lbs. per day. The ice bucket stores 3.8 lbs. of ice that can be dispensed through dispenser on the door or by removing the ice bucket from the door. Also, bottom freezer and French door refrigerators have a water reservoir coil in the fresh food section that holds 12 - 24 oz. of water. The water is chilled and stored until it is needed. Since the reservoir is in the fresh food section, the water will not be ice-cold. After the 12 - 24 oz. of cold water is dispensed, any additional water dispensed will not be chilled until the water in the coil tubing has had time to chill again. We hope this is helpful. - Answer The quickest and cleanest way to eliminate the squeaking of a refrigerator door or drawer is to lubricate the hinges and/or rollers with the recommended oils, then work the door back and forth until the noise goes away. The following are recommended oils; Paraffin wax (not candle wax) - can also be used on the door gaskets, Petroleum jelly - recommended for hinges, door gaskets and Fresh Food drawers/bins (including rollers), and Mineral oil - general use anywhere, can be washed off.

QuestionOnce you get the fridge setup how long does it take to start making ice? I live in South Florida, not sure if the hot temperatures might be affecting it, but it's been up and running for almost 6 hours now and still no ice cubes or any ice period. Thanks

- Answer Hi there! We can understand how this could be alarming with a new refrigerator. A newly installed refrigerator may take 12 to 24 hours to begin making ice, and please allow 2-3 days for the icemaker to completely fill the bucket with ice. We do recommend throwing away the first few batches of ice to allow the water line to clear. What you are experiencing is normal, just give the unit time to adjust and we're confident your icemaker will be operating properly in no time. QuestionOur previous GE Profile fridge delivered about 3 16-oz bottles of COLD water before the chill left. We were expecting same from this new model, but to our disappointment it is not cold at all. WHY? A real disappointment!!

We understand your concern, and would like to provide some insightful suggestions. It is recommended that you wait 24 hours for the refrigerator to completely cool down. Allow several hours for the replenished water supply to chill. QuestionWhat is the temperature of the inside of your fridge and what do you have it set to? We're on our second fridge and we get temps between 39-45 degrees. Fridge is set to 34. Measured with various glasses left on fridge 24 hours. Plenty of clearance.

The fresh food interior cabinets and drawers can be fully accessed when the doors are open to 90° at the hinge point. This model has an overall width of 35.625" and the width with the doors open 90° including the handles is 44.875". Therefore, when opened 90°, the doors will require an additional 4.625" on each side. - Answer Hello and thank you for reaching out about this popular and amazing refrigerator. We'd love to share more about this model. PVD28BYNFS has a freezer drawer that provides 8.57 cu ft of space. Plus the 3.62 cu ft of space in the adjustable drawer. You current PFCS1RKZSS model, has 6.2 cu ft of freezer space for comparison. So yes, the freezer would hold a large turkey with room to spare.
