While we don’t recommend a specific temperature, fine quality ice cream with high cream content will normally require slightly lower temperatures than more "airy" packaged brands with low cream content. The coldest location is typically at the rear of the freezer. If your ice cream is too soft, you may need to experiment to determine the best location and temperature control setting to keep your ice cream at the right serving temperature. Lauren@GEAppliances
