• A:Answer Just so you know, the replacement is $156. I thought your question was great and I took the GE answer to heart and looked up the replacement part on their website. The big question is how long they will stock and manufacture these given we intend to have this fridge for 10-15 years. No telling when someone might get butter fingers and drop the pitcher...bit of a dilemma. Do you go ahead and buy one now just to be safe or take your chances down the road?

Q: QuestionIf you take the pitcher out- can you fill a glass from the water dispenser. My Brita filter gets mildew if I let the water sit in it for more than a few days. Will that happen with your water pitcher- how to prevent that pls?

• A:Answer Thanks for reaching out to us. Fresh, delicious chilled water can be poured or dispensed from the AutoFill pitcher. It will not dispense water into a separate glass or container. We have not been made aware of any issues with mildew. We recommend cleaning the AutoFill pitcher on a regular basis for best results.

• A:Answer The icemaker will produce seven cubes per cycle approximately 100–130 cubes in a 24-hour period, depending on freezer compartment temperature, room temperature, number of door openings and other use conditions. A newly installed refrigerator may take 12 to 24 hours to begin making ice and please allow w 1-2 days for the bucket to completely fill with ice. Q: QuestionRegarding the Water Pitcher. I don't want to use this AutoFill Feature. After I turn off the feature, can I fill the pitcher with another beverage and use and store it to chill? Can I use the space for something else?

Q: QuestionIs the fingerprint resistant stainless steel a darker gray than regular stainless steel in color?

• A:Answer Hi - Thank you for reaching out to us. GE Appliances has designed our fingerprint resistant stainless steel finish to blend with non-fingerprint resistant stainless steel. The finish does have a more rich satin finish than traditional stainless and may appear a bit darker and slightly less reflective. Q: QuestionCan we use Adjustable Drawer as regular Freezer? Or what's the minimum temperature it can hold?

• A:Answer No you can not. The minimum temperature is 29 degrees and it should be 0 degrees to freeze food properly and safely. The range of the adjustable drawer is 29-42 degrees.

Q: QuestionDo I have to adjust anything near the ice maker so that it makes ice?

• A:Answer Once the water line is connected, press the Ice Maker on the controls to ensure the ice maker is turned on. The small indicator light above the Ice Maker pad will light up when on. When your refrigerator is first installed it will take up to 24 hours for ice production to begin. Additional information is available on page 19 of the online Owner's Manual. To locate the link for the manual, click on the Features tab and scroll to the bottom of the Features list.
