A:AnswerHi there, and thanks for your interest in our microwave! This model comes with two racks, one round and one square. One rack is intended for use with the convection feature, and will help you achieve great results by allowing air to circulate around the food as it’s being prepared for even heat distribution. The other rack is a cooking rack that allows for multi-level cooking simultaneously, to allow you to prepare large quantities of food. More information on the racks and tips on how to use them are available in the manual; if you’d like to view that, you can do so on our GE Appliances website by looking up the model number and going to the product page. We hope this information is helpful! If you have any other questions or concerns, we’re always happy to help, here or over social media. Best wishes! -Sarah@GEA
A:AnswerHey there,
We'll be glad to answer your question. The maximum baking temperature is 425 degrees. This microwave does not have a broiling feature, but the baking, roating, and air frying are good ways to brown foods. You can use metal sheets when using the bake or roasting modes. Let us know if you have any other questions. Mike@GEA

A:AnswerHey there, and thanks so much for your interest in our microwaves! We’re glad to advise. If you’re referring to models PVM9179FRDS, PVM9179DRBB and PVM9179BRTS, those models are very similar and the main difference would simply be the finish/appearance. The ‘black slate’ is a low-glosse matte, metallic paint finish on steel, the ‘black’ finish is also painted over metal, while the ‘black stainless’ is a shiny finish that is applied and infused to stainless steel using a variety of tested application procedures. We hope this information is helpful. If you have additional questions or concerns, or wanted to ask more about a specific model, we’re always happy to help here or over social media. All the best! -Sarah@GEA

A:AnswerThis model would make a great addition to your home. All 30" Over-the-Range Microwaves are approximately the same width and are designed to fit into a 30" wide cabinet opening. Therefore, any of our current 30" Over-the-Range microwave models will work as a replacement for an existing 30" Over-the-Range microwave model. When replacing an Over-the-Range microwave, the mounting bracket included with the new microwave should be used since the mounting bracket is specific to each model. The new screws, bolts and exhaust adapter should also be used.

A:AnswerHello - The Reset Filter notification light on the control panel indicates when it is time to change the charcoal filter. The indicator does not detect when the charcoal filter is dirty. This is simply a timed function to remind you to change the filter. The charcoal filter should typically be changed every 6 to 12 months, when it is noticeably dirty or discolored or when the Reset Filter indicator light comes on. For help with changing the filter, please follow the instructions in the "Charcoal Filter" section on pg. 28 of the owner's manual. Thanks for being part of the GE Appliances family. Take care. -Don@GEAppliances
A:AnswerHi - We appreciate your interest in a new Profile over-the-range convection microwave. We recommend it be installed under a cabinet that is a minimum of 12" deep to ensure safe and reliable installation and operation. We are glad you checked with us. Kind regards - Vikki@GEAppliances
A:AnswerI don’t have a wall on the left. I have an upper cabinet to the left. Because the microwave protrudes further than the cabinet there is no issue with the door.
A:AnswerHello - The Reset Filter indicator means it's time to change the charcoal/grease filter. This filter should be replaced when it is noticeably dirty / discolored (usually after 6 -12 months depending on hood usage) or filter replacement LED is on. After replacing the filter, press Reset Filter to complete. Thanks for being part of the Profile family! Take care. -Don@GEA
