This one (PVM9195SFSS) has an adjustable exhaust. You can vent to the back, up, or through the top face of the microwave. If you go with the last option they provide a charcoal filter.

Hi Ida, The GE does have the option of installing for use with external or interior venting. The book includes directions for both methods. Hope you enjoy this one as much as I am. Regards,
