QuestionIs the display always supposed to be lit up even when not using the dishwasher?I have a PDT760SSFSS dishwasher. The display is always lit. Is that normal or should it go off until I press a button?

- Answer Hello - this is Nancy at GE and I am happy to help you with regard to the top control with color LCD display on this dishwasher. If you had selected the sanitize option, then at the end of the cycle, the "Sanitized" will be displayed at the end of the cycle until the door has been opened and closed or until any button has been pressed. Otherwise, the "Clean" will be displayed when a cycle is complete. This light will stay on as a reminder that the dishes are clean. I hope this is helpful! Thanks for checking with us!

QuestionIs this dishwashwer self-heating?I am looking to purchase a new self-heating dishwasher. Our office building does not have hot water available for dishwashers, so we would need a dishwasher that is able to heat its own water. Can you recommend any self-heating water dishwashers? Thank you for your help.

- Answer Hello, This is Joyce from GE. Thanks so much for your question. Water entering the dishwasher should be between 120 and 140 degrees Fahrenheit for best wash and dry performance. The 1,000 watt hidden heating element under the stainless floor quickly heats water during the cycle and then produces warm air for drying. Benefits of the Hidden Heater: No chance of accidentally touching a hot element. Items can't fall onto the element and melt. "Top Rack Only" plastic items can be placed in lower rack. Models with the Hidden Heater also include: Fan Assist Dry with hidden fan to circulate the warm air. Hidden Vent for a clean interior and exterior apperance. It is still necessary for the dishwasher to be hooked up to a hot water line. Thanks so much for checking with us. Have a good day!
