“I live in a mountainous area, but not remote just high elevation., Will this work in hills, woods etc., or is it "line-of-sight"?”

It’s an antenna. So it’s picking up radio waves. It’ll work but the more things between you and the broadcast tower the worse the signal gets. If it’s really wooded and lots of hills might want to look in to one that mounts on the outside of the house.

You can put you location on line on a web site for antenna's It can tell you what station will pick up near you before you buy any indoors flat or bar antenna, But remember you want a 60 or 65 mile radis.
